A caring woman used tortillas to save a stray dog wandering along a highway in Texas in the cold
In the midst of a winter storm that swept several areas of the United States, people came together to save animals in need.
Kristin Salinas was shopping for food for her family, and on the way home, she saw a stray dog that was about to freeze. Being an animal lover, Kristin did not hesitate to come up with a plan to help a poor dog who urgently needed rescue.
The animal was scared and therefore was careful. The dog did not allow anyone to approach him, which made it a little difficult to save him. So Kristin used the tortillas she had just bought at the supermarket to lure him into the car and save him.
The woman left a path made of tortilla slices for the dog to get to her car, but the dog still didn’t trust her. Despite the heavy snowfall, Kristin did not want to give up, she wanted to save him and tried to lure him with the help of tortillas for more than half an hour.
After waiting for a while, the frightened Labrador finally came to Kristin’s car and got into the back seat.
Kristin told Fox San Antonio :
« The dogs don’t know what’s going on, so we’re trying to help.I hope that other people will stop to help animals in need. »
The woman said that she did not even know that she was being filmed and that in fact, the only important goal was to save the dog. In addition, she told local media that this is not the first time she has rescued a dog in need, as she constantly helps abandoned animals on the streets.
The woman brought the dog home and did everything necessary to protect him from the cold and so that he could have a good night.
The next day, she will try to find the owners of this dog, if she does not succeed, she will work with the help of an Animal Assistance Center to find a home for him. Kristin posted a photo of the rescued dog on the Facebook page in San Antonio, Texas – Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets.
The idea is that the dog can be reunited with his family if he has one, but if for some reason this does not happen, let him be adopted by a kind family.
